Jail term for man who grew cannabis in the loft of his Derby home
A cannabis grower who was arrested after police found plants in his loft space has been jailed for six months.
Michael Douglas was charged with producing the class B drug following the warrant at his address in Burton Road, Derby.
Officers who carried out that search, on May 30 last year, found a number of cannabis plants and cultivation equipment in the loft.
Douglas, 26, pleaded guilty to the charge at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court and was sentenced to six months in prison at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday, January 28.
